The technology behind our cloud storage network comes from the OpenStack project. This technology is backed by 110 major corporations including Nasa, Dell, Citrix, Cisco, Intel and AMD. In order to facilitate ease of migration between cloud hosting companies, the cloud storage element of OpenStack utilises the Amazon S3 protocol, which has become the defacto standard for clous storage platforms.
